All three of these providers, PIA, PureVPN, and WiTopia, offer great service to users at reasonable prices. PIA leads the way in terms of the number of servers and server locations. While PureVPN has servers in only slightly fewer locations, Witopia is further behind when it comes to the size of its server network. Neither PIA nor PureVPN keep any user logs at all, while WiTopia does keep a trailing log of indirect data, but no data that can be used to identify users. All three services can be used on all major operating systems, although not all offer the same level of features and customizability on all platforms. What they do have in common is that they allow users to access content on streaming services such as Netflix. However, only PureVPN and PIA support P2P torrenting and can currently be used in China. This is one global area where WiTopia states it has difficulties accessing, along with some parts of Canada, Belize, UAE, and Oman.

Private Internet Access (PIA) offers one of the cheapest VPN subscriptions, starting at just $2.03/month. With such a low price, I wondered whether PIA could really stand out against its higher-priced competitors. However, it prides itself on a 10-plus-year reputation of being safe and trustworthy, so it’s also one of the best-value VPNs available. I’ve used PIA for a while and have examine...

Best VPN Out on The Market

I like PIA VPN the best for the following reasons: ● It's a reliable and trustworthy policy; they don... 't record anything harmful to you; strict no logs. ● I've been using it for one month and there are specific times when it speeds up my internet speed (varies by internet) ● It's a distinctive feature of DIP (dedicated IP) - I think not many popular VPNs have this feature, I also purchased this feature to avoid getting the captcha verification and it never showed up ever since. It's only been a month using this VPN but as I gain more experience with this client, I'm pretty sure I will find more good features and utilize them. Thanks for having read my review:)More

PureVPN (which recently purchased Ivacy) is a highly rated and affordable VPN, but it has had its share of controversies. A previous incident involving the FBI severely impacted its reputation. So, has it done enough to rebuild trust since then? To find out, my team and I investigated its privacy policy and everything else it offers. We tested its speeds, streaming performance, security featur...

An excellent value, all things considered

While they will absolutely throttle p2p in most servers, it's easy to find and log into the p2p server... s. They responded promptly when I had questions (although once it was basically to say "sorry, tough luck"). Overall though, I think I paid something like $20 for a year's subscription - I really can't complain. I'm sold on the service, although I think the fact that it's based out of HK is a bit spooky. 9/10More

Not Private! They cooperate with FBI! Application will NOT CLOSE (only minimizes)

PureVPN COOPERATES WITH FBI INVESTIGATIONS! You can verify this with any search! PureVPN REQUIRES ... USERS TO PROVIDE REAL NAME TO USE THE SERVICE! VPN Does NOT Support Close Application, Against Windows Standards! Close Actually Minimizes and it Keeps Running. Company refuses to change this back (used to operate correctly) A clear violation of your rights as owner of your PC.More

Witopia is a small service that’s gotten some critical buzz. However, it’s still less popular than the top VPNs. Is this a hidden gem, or is there a reason it’s trailing behind the giants of the industry? After testing all of its features, I’ve concluded that WiTopia can’t compete with the best VPNs. It has slow speeds, buggy apps, a vague privacy policy, and many other issues. For a...

    a Horrible VPN service

They have great customer service BUT the VPN service is horrible. Been using them for years and have ... never been really happy. But it has gotten so bad that I download a free VPN Pronto and the speed is day and night difference. Without any VPN I get 96 Mbps With Witopia I get 12 to 20 Mbps with free Proton VPN I get Download Mbps 54.53. I will be signing up for another service what is so sad WiTopia was one of the first VPNs and if they would of put the money into their product they could have been on of the top companies. I cannot give them even a 6 just my opinion They could have been so good. PS this is also true with their Android just not good.More

    Best VPN Overall

PIA came out on top comfortably. While PureVPN mostly keeps up with PIA in some areas, like global server locations and pricing, it falls behind regarding torrenting capabilities, the speed and reliability of its connections, and more advanced security and VPN settings. WiTopia is a decent VPN, but can't quite compete with these two.

    Best VPN for Torrents

PIA is undoubtedly the best option for torrenting with P2P support across all servers in its vast global network. It also outperforms most VPNs in terms of sheer downloading and uploading speeds while torrenting. If you’re annoyed with ads on torrenting clients like BitTorrent or uTorrent, the good news is that PIA’s MACE feature will get rid of most of them. Some PIA servers also support SOCKS5 (Shadowsocks), which many prefer for better performance while torrenting.

    Best VPN for Windows

If you’re looking for a user-friendly VPN for Windows, then PureVPN should be a good choice. The clean and minimal interface is a joy to use. However, that doesn’t mean it lacks security with the OpenVPN protocol, AES 256-bit encryption, a kill switch, and split tunneling. On the other hand, the biggest problem with PIA’s Windows app is that it can be intimidating to new users. It has an unconventional design and a huge number of settings which take a while to get used to. However, it does offer a lot of customizability for power users.

    Best VPN for Android

Most mobile VPN users want a straightforward experience, and PureVPN delivers in this regard. The app interface is also simple and modern, allowing you to connect and change some settings with just a few taps. On the other hand, PIA’s app still feels somewhat clunky and overly technical on mobile, although it does have more features than PureVPN.

    Best VPN for Mac

The reason PIA wins this round is that its macOS app has all the same capabilities as its Windows app, including customizable kill switch and split tunneling features, as well as your choice of level of encryption. It also automatically displays the ping for all server options. On the other hand, PureVPN’s macOS app lacks the OpenVPN and WireGuard protocols and doesn’t automatically display server ping. WiTopia's macOS app looks outdated in comparison to its competitors but it offers some decent features.

    Best VPN for iOS

PureVPN’s iOS app offers a similar experience to the Android version, which is why it’s also our favorite. Like most VPN apps for iOS, it lacks a split tunneling feature but comes with all the other protections that the desktop versions offer.

    Best VPN for USA

On top of having one of the largest server networks of any VPN, PIA offers servers in all US states. Among these three VPNs, that means it gives you the most options as someone outside of the US wanting to connect to a US server or someone in the US wanting to connect to a server in another country. PIA is also known for its fast and stable connections.

    The Bottom Line

PIA is one of the top VPNs for a few good reasons and looking at its features, it should be no surprise that it’s the top pick after this comparison. While PureVPN offers a competitive service with a large global server network, a variety of user-friendly apps, and 24/7 live chat support, WiTopia is not quite in the same league. Both PIA and PureVPN also let you use their services on up to 10 devices simultaneously, compared with a maximum of 8 for WiTopia. However, not only does PIA offer a better deal for long-term subscribers, but it gives power users more freedom to fine-tune their VPN performance and security according to their needs.
