With over 20 million users worldwide, CyberGhost is one of the most reliable and respected VPN providers available. Ivacy, on the other hand, has just over 200 thousand users worldwide, although it is steadily growing within the rapidly evolving VPN market. If you’re looking for advanced features like ad blocking and up to seven device connections, you’re better off with CyberGhost, as these functionalities are absent in Ivacy. CyberGhost also provides faster servers and a more user-friendly interface across all devices.

While all that might make it seem like these VPNs are miles apart, they do share many similarities. Both CyberGhost and Ivacy use 256-bit encryption and include the kill switch feature in all their apps. Speaking of apps, they also both provide dedicated apps for Windows, MacOS, Linux, Android, and iOS platforms. You will also get a 30-day money-back guarantee with either of these VPN providers. CyberGhost and Ivacy also both unblock Netflix and other US-based content providers, which is not an easy feat. Read on to see which VPN is truly better across several categories.

They say you get what you pay for, but CyberGhost offers low prices and still claims to be one of the best. Subscriptions come as low as $2.03/month, so that much can’t be debated. But, can it really compete with its top-ranking competitors while charging so little? Over the course of several weeks, we put CyberGhost through an extensive evaluation. We analyzed its privacy policy, stress-test...

    Pretty good

CyberGhost does not connect automatically in pc when I connect online. Why? And on my phone (Android)...  it sometimes gets stuck, it does not open the app when vpn is working. I have to connect the VPN in my phone settings first. That is pretty annoying.More

Important. Ivacy VPN has merged with PureVPN, creating the new 'Ivacy Powered by PureVPN.' Existing Ivacy users won't lose any features as all clients have been automatically migrated to PureVPN. Ivacy is a long-running VPN with some of the cheapest subscriptions around. It also offers a popular free version and an extensive server network with many rare locations. But is it actually safe or trustw...

Not sure where all these negative thoughts come from.

Never had a problem connecting my desktop pooters with Ivacy. Had minor problem connecting my IOS devi... ce to my dedicated European IP but that was soon sorted. I daresay most of the negativity comes from the younger generation who have no patience. Staff at Ivacy who helped this 75yr old were awesome and ever helpful. Keep at it guys! I'd give them 9.5.More

    Terrible support

I was a customer 6 years ago. They still email me frequently, despite me unsubscribing many times and ... reaching out to their customer support 8+ times. If Ivacy can't get this right then I wouldn't trust any other promise that they make.More

    Best VPN by Category

    Best VPN Overall

With a larger server network, advanced features like ad blocking, and more responsive 24/7 support, CyberGhost is our choice for overall VPN performance. Nevertheless, Ivacy also has a reasonably sized VPN network and an effective VPN service.

    Best VPN for Torrents

CyberGhost VPN supports P2P activities and offers dedicated servers for torrenting at high speed. Ivacy also features dedicated torrenting servers but lacks the speed of CyberGhost.

    Best VPN for Windows

CyberGhost’s Windows app is very user-friendly and features ad blocking and tracking prevention functionalities. Ivacy competes with its own Windows client that protects you from ISP tracking and can include NAT firewall (at an additional cost).

    Best VPN for Android

With automatic WiFi protection, DNS/IP Leak protection, and a strict no-logs policy, CyberGhost is a more reliable VPN service for Android users. Meanwhile, Ivacy’s Android app helps defeat ISP throttling and features split tunnelling.

    Best VPN for Mac

If you want a VPN for MacOS that’s packed with features and provides access to over 2,700 servers in 60+ countries, CyberGhost is the ideal choice for you. It also supports multiple protocols including OpenVPN, L2TP/IPsec, and PPTP. Ivacy also has a MacOS app with strong encryption and goes an extra step by offering its users dedicated IPs at an additional cost.

    Best VPN for iOS

Owners of multiple iOS or Apple devices will find CyberGhost VPN more useful, as it allows up to seven simultaneous device connections. If your family only has a modest number of devices, however, it’s worth knowing that Ivacy also maintains an iOS app and allows up to five connections at a time.

    Best VPN for USA

CyberGhost offers more US servers capable of bypassing geoblocks so you can access services like Netflix anywhere in the world. It also allows users to select city-specific US servers from within its apps, which is very helpful for accessing US broadcast networks with local affiliates. Ivacy also unblocks Netflix and other US content, but has fewer servers available for this purpose.

    The Bottom Line

While both VPNs offer similar features and levels of security, it is CyberGhost’s network size, outstanding customer support, and connection speeds that make it the clear winner here. We also favor CyberGhost for the user-friendliness of its apps. If you’re looking for a VPN that’s easy to use, doesn’t cut corners with your security, and lives up to its promises, it doesn’t get better than CyberGhost.
