Guy Fawkes Anonymous Cybersecurity Experts

VPNAUS is a pretty new service provider. They started as in September 2015 and, obviously, are located in Australia. They currently only have two servers available online but have 9 more coming soon, across locations like the US, Europe, the UK, Japan and further server options in Oz too. Whether you're local or international, it can still provide you with adequate security and help you unblock streaming services like Netflix.

However, Australia is a founding member of the 5 Eyes surveillance alliance and notoriously anti-privacy. This combined with VPNAUS raises serious questions about how safe you'd be using their VPN.

They secure your browsing activity and personal data with encryption technology supporting OpenVPN, L2TP/IPsec, and PPTP connections. It is their 128-bit encryption keys that keep you safe.

They offer a Windows-friendly client, though there's no mention of other devices or operating systems available. They censor your IP address protecting your privacy while you're connected to the web, obscuring your location, and keeping sensitive data safe through ciphers.

There are three price plans available; all offering secured encryption, and now bandwidth limit and they aren't necessarily the cheapest VPN service provider on the market.

They don't log any metadata or traffic, or store your browsing history. Given the recent Australian Government Metadata Surveillance Laws which started on the 13th of October 2015, it's probably a good idea to take their advice and "Go Dark."

They promise to provide comprehensive support should anything go wrong as they "understand that sometimes computers and applications tend to have strange, bizarre problems." Support is only provided by email at the moment though.

The company looks promising, but there isn't much more information available, they promise for the future that "Servers in every major city are currently under construction and will be available shortly, providing you with some of the best possible pings seen in Australia."

One to watch, but if you want the server coverage to seamlessly stream Netflix, you'll need a top provider like NordVPN. They provide best-in-class security and lightning-fast streaming speeds.
