How to Install Titanium on Kodi in 2024: Easy Guide

Ren Sayer Updated on 9th August 2024 Former Senior Writer

Installing an increasing number of Kodi add-ons and configuring them can get messy and inconvenient. Without proper management, it can be hard to keep up with all your favorite content from around the world.

While the Titanium Kodi build eliminates the hassle of managing Kodi add-ons, it comes with security and privacy risks. It’s great because it makes managing its pre-installed add-ons and installing new ones easy (plus, it makes Kodi’s interface more user-friendly). But when you use Kodi, your online activity and personal data can be exposed to other users.

I recommend using a VPN to stay protected — ExpressVPN is my top choice. It keeps you safe on Kodi and has superfast speeds for streaming over P2P networks. You can even test its features with your new Titanium build risk-free as it comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. This means you can claim a full refund if you’re not impressed. Editor's Note: Transparency is one of our core values at vpnMentor, so you should know we are in the same ownership group as ExpressVPN. However, this does not affect our review process.

Use Titanium Safely With ExpressVPN

Important! Using Kodi itself is not illegal in most countries, but streaming illegal media files is. My team and I don’t condone illegal streaming, so be sure to check the rules and regulations in your country before you watch anything that might be protected under copyright.

Quick Guide: How to Install Titanium on Kodi in 3 Easy Steps

  1. Get a VPN. I recommend ExpressVPN because its fast speeds are ideal for streaming on Kodi and its world-class security features will keep you safe.
  2. Install Titanium. Install the supreme-builds add-on first and then install Titanium from there.
  3. Enjoy the enhanced experience! Start using new add-ons and manage them all in one place!

How to Set Up and Install Titanium on Kodi — The Ultimate Guide

Step 1: Disable unknown sources on Kodi

  1. Get a VPN. My go-to recommendation is ExpressVPN because it is easy to use, has superfast speeds for downloading Kodi add-ons, and keeps your connection private.
  2. Open system settings. Click the settings wheel on your Kodi home screen and select “System” in the bottom right-hand corner. If you're using Kodi 18 or higher, then it's called "System."

  3. Turn on Unknown Sources. Highlight “Add-ons” on the left-hand sidebar and enable the “Unknown Sources” setting.

  4. Confirm changes. A warning box will pop up. Click “Yes” to save the change.

Step 2: Install the supreme builds add-on

Since Titanium is part of the Supreme Builds Wizard, you'll need to install the Supreme Builds repository before installing Supreme Builds Wizard.

  1. Make sure your VPN is still connected. I chose to connect ExpressVPN to its recommended server since it automatically gives you a fast, secure connection for downloading Supreme Builds.
  2. Go to “Add Source”. Open your Kodi settings, click “File Manager”, and then select “Add Source”.

  3. Enter the file source. Highlight "< None >" and type http://repo.supremebuilds.com when prompted. Make sure the URL is spelled correctly.

  4. Name the file source. Give your file source a name, such as “Supreme”. Then, press “OK” to proceed.

  5. Open the package installer. Go back to your Kodi home screen, click the “Add-ons” option on the left, and select the package installer icon above the sidebar.

  6. Install the zip file. Select “Install from Zip File”, choose the file you named in step 3 from the list, and highlight the “repository.supremebuilds-X.X.X.zip” file that appears. Then, press “OK”.

Graphic showing repository zip fileMake sure you select the correct zip file. The version I got was 1.0.2.

  7. Wait for the installation. After you click “OK”, wait for a notification to appear on the right-hand side. Then, select “Install from Repository”.

Step 3: Install Titanium Builds

  1. Make sure your VPN is still connected. If you haven't already, get a reliable VPN like ExpressVPN and connect to its recommended server. This gives you the best speeds for downloading and using Titanium safely.
  2. Prepare to build. Go to your add-ons and open “Program add-ons”. Then, select Supreme Builds, and click the “(Supreme Builds) Builds” option from the menu. Graphic showing Program add-onsOpen Supreme Builds from Program add-ons
  3. Select your Titanium server. You’ll see some Titanium servers listed. Select the one that’s closest to you for the best results. For this one, I’ll choose “Titanium USA Server”. Also, choose a server for your Kodi version, which is listed in brackets, e.g. [18.3]. Graphic showing Titanium server listConnect to a server that’s nearest you for faster download speeds
  4. Choose Fresh Install or Standard Install. Fresh install wipes all of your existing add-ons before installing Titanium, while standard install keeps your add-ons. I suggest going with Fresh install as Titanium comes with plenty of pre-installed add-ons anyway. Graphic showing Fresh and Standard installFresh Install is the best option for starting from scratch
  5. Wait for the installation. Click “Continue” after selecting Fresh Install, which will direct you to the installation progress. Wait for it to complete. Graphic showing Titanium installationStay on track with your installation progress
  6. Enjoy Titanium! Reopen Kodi after the installation is done, and enjoy your new layout! You may need to wait for a few minutes for the add-ons to install the first time. Graphic showing Titanium home screenEnjoy the added functionality of Titanium

The Best VPNs for Titanium on Kodi

1.ExpressVPN — World Class Security Features That Keep You Safe on Titanium

Editor's Note: Transparency is one of our core values at vpnMentor, so you should know we are in the same ownership group as ExpressVPN. However, this does not affect our review process.
  • Lightning-fast speeds for streaming videos on Kodi
  • Military-grade encryption, automatic kill-switch, and DNS leak protection keep you safe
  • Strict no-logs policy to keep you anonymous when using Titanium
  • 8 simultaneous device connections
  • 30-day money-back guarantee
  • Works With: Kodi builds and add-ons, Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, HBO Max, BBC iPlayer, and more
  • Compatible with: Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, Linux, Amazon Fire devices, routers, and more

ExpressVPN has robust security features that keep you safe while installing and using Titanium on Kodi. It uses AES-256 bit encryption, which makes your data unreadable to malicious parties, while its IP leak protection prevents accidental exposure of your IP address. When I tested its US servers for IP leaks, none were detected at all.

The service's stringent no-logs policy, along with its RAM-based servers, ensures your anonymity on Titanium. These servers, optimized for P2P, are cleared after each reboot, meaning no data is stored. As a result, Kodi is unable to gather your information while you remain anonymous on Titanium.

The only downside of ExpressVPN is that it’s a little pricey compared to other VPNs — its cheapest plan is $4.99/month. However, ExpressVPN often offers coupons with big discounts. I’ve also seen it offer free months of service on new subscriptions, so there are ways to make it much cheaper.

You can also try all of ExpressVPN’s features risk-free as it’s backed by a 30-day money-back guarantee. I tested this policy myself by asking live chat for a refund on day 30. The representative asked me a couple of quick questions before going ahead with my refund. After 3 business days, I had my money back.

ExpressVPN Offer November 2024: For a limited time only, you can get an ExpressVPN subscription for up to 82% off! Don't miss out!

2. IPVanish — Use Titanium Safely on All Your Devices Running Kodi

  • Unlimited P2P connections mean no restrictions when using Titanium
  • Military-grade encryption, kill switch, and IP/DNS leak protection keep you safe on Kodi
  • Strict no-logs policy keeps you anonymous when using Titanium
  • Unlimited simultaneous device connections
  • 30-day money-back guarantee
  • Works with: Kodi builds and add-ons, Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, HBO Max, BBC iPlayer, and more
  • Compatible with: Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, Linux, Amazon Fire devices, routers, and more

IPVanish enables any number of devices to be connected simultaneously. I tested this by using Titanium on my MacBook Pro while streaming Netflix and Disney+ on my tablet and Windows laptop. Everything ran smoothly and I didn’t notice any drop in my devices’ performance.

It also has a server network of 2,400+ servers in 130+ countries, which provide fast speeds. My download speeds were consistently at 45.7 Mbps on its US servers. All of IPVanish’s servers are P2P optimized, which means you can stream content on Titanium without any bandwidth limitations.

A minor con of IPVanish is that it doesn’t accept cryptocurrency payments. However, it does accept credit cards, online gift cards, and PayPal. You can get a yearly subscription for just $2.19/month, which is the best value. And if you’re willing to pay a bit more, you can add 500GB of encrypted cloud storage.

No matter which plan you choose, you can test IPVanish for free with its 30-day money-back guarantee. You don’t need to contact customer support to get a refund either. All you have to do is log into your account and cancel your membership from there. After doing that, I received my money 3 days later.

IPVanish November 2024 Deal: It's hard to find active IPVanish offers so I was really surprised to find this one! Click here to get 83% off your IPVanish subscription today! Discount automatically applied (no code required).

3. CyberGhost — Huge Server Network With Optimized Servers for P2P Sharing on Titanium

Editor's Note: Transparency is one of our core values at vpnMentor, so you should know we are in the same ownership group as CyberGhost VPN. However, this does not affect our review process.
  • 11,690+ servers in 100+ countries, including dedicated servers for P2P sharing
  • No-logs policy, AES 256-bit encryption, and an automatic kill switch to keep you safe on Titanium
  • Unlimited data and fast speeds to watch streams without buffering
  • 7 simultaneous device connections
  • 45-day money-back guarantee
  • Works with: Kodi builds and add-ons, Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, HBO Max, BBC iPlayer, and more
  • Compatible with: Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, Linux, Amazon Fire devices, routers, and more

CyberGhost’s vast server network is ideal for streaming P2P content on Titanium. It even includes dedicated servers for downloading and P2P sharing. When I tested these servers, I barely noticed any difference in my speeds when compared to regular internet connection.

It keeps your data safe on Titanium with its AES-256 bit encryption, kill switch, and advanced protocols. In addition, CyberGhost adheres to a strict no-logs policy that conceals your online activity. I chose to use the WireGuard protocol since it’s really safe, but generally has faster speeds than other high-security protocols.

Just keep in mind that CyberGhost’s short-term plans are pretty expensive and they only come with a 14-day money-back guarantee. However, If you opt for the 2-year plan, you only pay $2.03/month, and you get a generous 45-day money-back guarantee. Going for a long-term subscription is definitely the best value since all the features are the same.

Of course, the money-back guarantee allows you to test CyberGhost for free for a limited time. When I asked its 24/7 live chat for a refund, it was a smooth process. The representative asked me why I wanted to cancel before approving my request. By the end of the week, I was fully refunded.

November 2024 Deal: CyberGhost is currently offering 84% off its most popular plan! Take advantage of this offer now and save more on your CyberGhost subscription.

FAQs on Installing Titanium on Kodi

What are the main features of Titanium on Kodi?

Titanium comes with several pre-installed add-ons such as Exodus Redux, Gaia, and The Magic Dragon. It also has a user-friendly interface that lets you navigate and organize your add-ons much easier. There are new add-ons for news, entertainment, adult content, cartoons, and more, which can be installed with one click. But before you use Titanium, make sure you connect to a VPN to keep your data protected.

How do I use Titanium on Kodi?

All you have to do is install the Titanium build on Kodi and then install different add-ons for your favorite categories. These include TV shows, movies, sports, and more. But always connect to a VPN server before using Titanium, as it’ll keep you anonymous and protected from online threats.

Do I need a VPN for Titanium on Kodi?

You don't need to use one, but I strongly suggest you do. Kodi specifically states on their website that they collect certain types of user data and will hand it over to authorities if required. Since this is a serious breach of privacy, it's best to connect your VPN to a nearby server before using Titanium on Kodi.

How can I update Titanium on Kodi?

You can update Titanium by going to the help menu and selecting the “Check for Updates Section”. Titanium will then search for any updates, and if any are found, you can select the “Install Updates” button. But before you begin your update, make sure you connect to a VPN server first to stay protected.

How do I fix Titanium on Kodi if it’s not working?

The first thing to do is to check if you’re using the latest version of Titanium. This can be found under the “Check for Updates Section” in the help menu. If you need to update, then make sure you turn on your VPN beforehand. Other actions you can take include clearing your cache from your Titanium setting or restarting your device.

How can I uninstall Titanium on Kodi?

This can be done by going to the maintenance section on Titanium. But before proceeding, make sure you’re using a reliable VPN with military-grade encryption. When you’re in the maintenance section, select “(Supreme Builds) Cleaning Tools”, click “Fresh Start”, and then “Continue”. After waiting for a bit, you'll be reverted to the default build on Kodi.

But the repository for Titanium will still be there, so you need to uninstall that to get rid of Titanium fully. To do that, go to “My Add-Ons”, open “Titanium” and click “uninstall’.

Install Titanium on Kodi Now!

Titanium simplifies the handling of your entire suite of Kodi add-ons. Despite the fact that it allows you to modify your interface and incorporate new add-ons with a simple click, it's critical to be cognizant of the inherent risks when utilizing Titanium on Kodi. Numerous Kodi add-ons employ P2P networks for torrent streaming, thereby leaving your online data susceptible to being accessed by third parties.

A trustworthy VPN keeps you safe on Kodi because it hides your actual IP address and uses military-grade encryption. This prevents third-parties from seeing your personal information. My favorite VPN for Kodi is ExpressVPN because it has world-class security and privacy features and superfast speeds for streaming. It also comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee — if you don’t like it, you can claim a full refund.

To summarize, the best VPNs for Kodi’s Titanium build are…
